Are you wheelchair accessible?

Yes. Both of our entrances at the front and back of our store are wheel chair accessible. There is a small step up into the bottle shop and duck room, however there is an external entrance on the right hand side at the front of our store that takes you straight into the bottle shop area. What’s more, there is always a helping hand close by to assist you.

Is there parking available?

Park conveniently every time you visit Mercado. We offer two car park options for our customers; enjoy 1-hour free parking in the car park located the rear of the Mercado venue.

Alternatively, parking is available in King Street’s impressive 5 story car park with 380 spaces and 8 disability spaces available. This clean and convenient car park is situated in the heart of King Street with entry via Machinery or Alexandra Street.  Park for the first hour free on Monday to Friday.  Standard day rates apply on weekends.

By Car

Positioned in the heart of a few major road networks, including the CLEM7 Tunnel, Inner City Bypass, Airport Link Tunnel and Gympie Road, and bordering Gregory Terrace and St Paul’s Terrace, Mercado is accessible from every direction.

By Taxi and Uber

Black and White Cabs (phone 13 32 22) and Yellow Cabs (phone 13 19 24) are Brisbane’s main taxi companies, with zones located outside the Rydges Hotel and The George Bar and Bistro on King Street.

Getting an Uber ride to Mercado is as easy as requesting a ride and setting the destination to King Street.

By Train

This cosmopolitan precinct is situated between the Bowen Hills and Fortitude Valley railway stations. The Fortitude Valley station is located approximately 300 metres (5-minute walk) from the St Paul’s Terrace end of King Street. For more information, telephone Translink on 13 12 30.

By Bus

Options to travel by bus to Mercado are endless. The CityGlider provides high-frequency transport from Ashgrove to Stones Corner and West End to Teneriffe, while the CityLoop bus offers free transportation around Brisbane City.
